Agave nectar is made from wild agave plants familiar for it’s relation to the blue agave from which we get quality tequila. Agave nectar has both organic and kosher certification.
It has a relatively low glycemic index due to its higher proportion of fructose and lower levels of glucose and is absorbed slowly into the bloodstream. It is acceptable for people with diabetes and hyperglycemia and others who need to monitor their glucose intake.
